Blessed with an abundance of natural ingredients from sea and land, it’s not surprising that the islands should be able to boast so many high quality restaurants. Choose from hearty pub fayre, bistro dining or contemporary cuisine – healthy appetites are welcome in all of our restaurants. There are a huge variety of culinary styles available from all over the world, too. Indian, Chinese, French, Spanish and Italian sit comfortably alongside more traditional restaurants. And with the quality as high as it is, you’ll soon be back for seconds.
St Peter Port also has a good choice of lively pubs and bars where you can soak up the atmosphere…along with a few cocktails or locally brewed ales.
Tennerfest - 1 Oct to mid November
The Tennerfest has been a popular fixture on the Guernsey food calendar for over 15 years. With gourmet menus now ranging from £10 to £20 per person, you can feast on lobster and scallops, try local specialities of Bean Jar and artisan cheeses or tuck into favourites including fish and chips and bangers and mash. You can eat your way around the world, trying Italian and Chinese, Indian and French, without even leaving the island.
37% of menus still stick to the original promise of the festival and offer something for £10 - which, in this day and age, offers incredible value for money.
New to the Tennerfest, is the gourmet price band, which highlights quality as well as value for money.
You can check out the menu's on the Tennerfest website - it's always advisable to make reservations as it does get very busy!
Tasty Walks is a series of 20 self-guided walks which make the most of the very best the island to offer - its stunning scenery and fabulous food.
